The Reveal!!!

Well, the day has finally come for everyone to see what all of the hoopla has been about for the last 8 weeks and my One Room Challenge. This project has pushed me along to complete it in a timely way that probably would not have happened this quickly had it not been for the challenge. I’m happy to be finished and even more happy to get to work in this beautiful space!

I have to give a little disclaimer—I did exactly what I complained about several weeks ago—I have been tweaking for weeks just what I wanted on my bookcases and storage cubes. Yes, as soon as those wall cabinets went up I started assessing what I had, what I needed to make them function well and if I needed to select some new items to make everything just right. Yes, I did purchase a few items to add to my collection but I’m proud to say (and my hubby would be proud) that the majority of the items in the bookcases and storage cubes are things I’ve had and love. So, when you watch my time lapse of me styling the bookshelves, know that it might be quickly done on camera but it was truly weeks of adding and subtracting items to be just right.

When styling shelves for clients I love to use things that have value for them. It gives the design more meaning. So, this is exactly what I did. No, some of the items I probably wouldn’t buy for a client but, I’m the client so it’s what brings me joy!

The most rewarding part of this project is having a space to create. I have many interests. My job—interior design—crafting, card making, journaling, painting, all things paper crafting, creating & cutting on my Silhouette machine, scraping, sewing, flower arranging and I could go on and on but you get the picture. Now all of my interests have a home.

I am finally going to reveal what my space looked like BEFORE 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀!

NOW🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩!
